Iron Man’s new armour – I hate it
… fifteen minutes.
Now I guess it should be noted that I am a big fan of the retro Iron Man armour and I love the classic red and gold that was a standard during the 80s and 90s. I just feel that the Iron Man armour should actually be armour, a high tech metal shell that is worn by Tony Stark. I don’t want living liquid metal or metal skin, I would like armour.

Wow I almost didn’t make it in time to get this up for Iron Man Wednesday! I actually got distracted with a mash-up illustration that I’ve been thinking about and of course I know you guys like the mash-ups!
Anyway this is the classic Iron Man armour, if they were to go back to this armour in the comics I’d be a pretty happy man because I actually prefer the old school armours to the Rolex one they have now (I think in recent issues they’ve been digging the old ones up whilst Tony is on the run *sigh remember when they just told superhero stories rather than long drawn out soap operas?).
Again I wanted this to feel a little cartoonish and fun!
This is the first in a series where I will be drawing the complete set (as best as I can work it out) of Iron Man armours. Starting with of course one of my favourite suits of armour, the Mark 1.
