Shellhead pencils - inking went all wrong

Oh well unfortunately this scan is all that’s left of this drawing because I stuffed up inking it. Â I wanted to use a light brown pen to do all the actual shadow and I just completely ruined it, the pen was not very good at the same time which is still my fault as I didn’t test it before hand.
I should have drawn all the shading in pencil first but I was going for a much more natural feel.
It is a real shame actually because I really love the drawing, it is probably closest I feel to my natural style - Iron Man’s movement in it felt natural as I drew it and because it’s a chunky character thanks to the early armour it lends itself well to the style.
I may still try and resurrect the image on a different drawing.
