    Keep in mind that seeing an Enterprise under construction in this teaser trailer doesn’t mean we’ll necessarily see that exact ship in the final film. it’s the metaphor for the movie “under construction”.

    I read somewhere an interview with the production designer regarding the Enterprise - they were told that the exterior was off limits as far as lots of change was concerned but the insides were open for discussion.

    I personally don’t mind that, I think as long as the flavour is retained internally and the external is left alone I will accept it.
