More Spider-man

Tonight I just let loose on drawing, not going for any particular style just trying to zone out and do my own thing. Once again I found inspiration in Spider-man and I’m happy with the drawing, in fact I’m really interested in the style that I naturally fell into when I removed any expectations etc.

The first image is the ink drawing, I’ll post the second which is the colourized version which came out pretty cool also - I can’t quite decide which one I prefer:

  1. I like this - it has a strong sense of character, and feels like it’s ready to jump out of the frame with barely-contained restless energy.

John’s last blog post..Last night, only hedgehogs and helicopters watched the tide go out

  2. pointy shoes…awesome

  3. Spidey’s been working out!!!

Well done Lee, I like it. :-)

  4. Hi John (by the way I am writing you an email - i’m just really slack) I think that’s what I wanted to do with this as that’s the Spider-man that I tend to think of (I’m not a big fan of non stop jokes Spider-man) - a lot of energy - in the early books he’s still pretty much just a kid.

  5. SJ - well he’s got to be stylish

  6. Ian - there’s a Ghost rider in all of this I can just feel it.
