They say most of your brain shuts down in cryo-sleep

I have a number of eccentricities that make me the unique person I am, one of these happens to be my fondness for movie related watches and sunglasses.

At one stage I had something like fifteen pairs of glasses primarily made up of the various official Matrix glasses, T2 and movie related aviators. Unfortunately they have systematically all been lost, stolen or damaged. Apparently my thirst for these sunglasses is only matched by my ability to have them disappear.

Well a couple of weeks ago I added a pair of glasses to the now non-existent collection that will probably never be worn out and about.

Look at my cool gogglesThe goggles that Riddick wears in Pitch Black (and the sequels, games etc).

Ugliest pair of glasses I’ve ever owned but the sickness that I have has forced me into buying some eventually and now they will probably join my command gold Star Trek tunic in the place of clothing I must own but will never ever wear for fear of being THAT guy.

Did I mention I have a Jack Bauer man bag? Actually I also have a CTU instructor shirt and mug also but was discouraged by almost everyone I know from getting the CTU field jacket and cap (foiled!).

Don’t look at me like that!! You know you all want Riddick goggles!!!!

Fine, I’m going to the bathroom to look at myself in Riddick goggles. Meanwhile why don’t you share your favourite piece of memorabilia?

  1. My favourite bit of memorabilia?

It makes my cock itch. But it was worth it.

  2. i would have to say my PDK blaster.
sure its only the resin version, but it has enough separate parts (including the amber grips) and not too many seams to be pretty sweet.
if i wasnt worried about all my packages getting opened when they find a barrel like object in my mail, i would totally get the metal version with the swing-out chamber (have you seen those? damn).

that or my destron megatron… made my mum buy that sucker for me for my 30th just cause she wouldnt get one for me all those years ago (she doesnt get why i havent unwrapped it either).

  3. PDK blaster? I’m going to have to ask what one of those is and I have no doubt in my mind that I’m going to smack my forehead and go duh! when told.

  4. i guess i should have just put blade runner gun (the amount of names for it rival the number of movie versions)… i feel like such a nerd.

  5. Awwww man I should have known that!!! I feel like a lessor geek now. I’ve got the new mega fantastic ultimate there will be no other edition of Blade Runner pre ordered so I will re-familiarise myself with it.

Actually a friend of mine hadn’t ever seen any version and got to watch it the other day, needless to say he was impressed especially with the look and feel.

But I know what you feel about the postal service checking out the contents of your mail and flagging it as dangerous. They won’t even let you import Megatron in gun format.
