Casting for Miss Evangeline was insanely difficult. We went through several up- and-coming pastel, charcoal, acrylic and oil-based actresses, and they all gave a unique perspective to the role, but none of them really captured the flavour of the comic-book medium…
Then, out of nowhere, Miss H B Pencilsketch walked in. Her first reading was incredible, and we knew at once we had found our Evangeline
Obviously, there has been a certain amount of bitchiness and envy. Wendy Watercolour (who proved a real washout at the auditions) has been particularly vitriolic… ["When Artistic Media Fall Out" - coming soon to the open spaces between all good retail stores]
