OMFG - I forgot our anniversary!

October 30th, 2007

I can’t believe that I let the day pass me by without saying a thing!

No one reminded me.

Actually no one realized.

Quit Your Day Job is over a year old now!

On the 3rd of October last year I wrote my first post, all about how I thought Tara from Buffy the Vampire Slayer should be cast in the upcoming Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles as Sarah because she bares more than a passing resemblance to Linda Hamilton. She wasn’t, of course and the woman who was cast is quite good so what do I know!
Now I can use the ‘Last Year’ widget in the sidebar! Unfortunately it seems to be playing up and won’t let me change it from the whole month to just the week. I’ll tinker with it but for the time being you can revisit the first month in QYDJ history!

It is very exciting when you can use the last year widget. I regularly take a look at it on my own blog and do a bit of reminiscing.

Cool. I didn’t have a widget… or, if I did have one, I didn’t look at it (you’d think you’d want to cuddle a widget if you had one of your very own, but there ya go)…

Either way, I didn’t really mark my first year of bloggy stuff…

but I think it’s only right and proper that you should mark yours -

and there should be lots of cake (don’t know why I’m saying that, not being one of life’s cake-eaters, but as I’m on the other side of the globe, my personal cake preferences are irrelevant - there really should be cake)

    Woohoo… yay… stuff like that…

Haven’t read your first post (yet) but an anniversary is always nice!
After reading a couple of posts I decided to bookmark your blog.
*your blog also reminds me to how neat a blog cán look, cause mine needs a style update hehe*

Dan - yeah as soon as I installed it I took a couple of peeks into the past - I’ve done that on your site a couple of times actually. It’s an interesting record of our lives.

John - the way I discovered it was I was looking at my stats and realized that I had over twelve months worth of data. I was pretty devastated because I missed the very important occasion.

Over the last couple of years I too have distanced myself from the eating of cake apart from the occasional craving.

Maybe you and I can share virtual crackers and cheese to mark our missed launch dates!

Arjan - cheers so much for saying so - I really appreciate it! And you’ll be happy to note that despite your blogger template I’m returning the favor because reviewing soundtracks is something I could easily get into reading! Plus you don’t seem to go for the obvious ones - Cashern for example. So hopefully I can keep you entertained enough to keep reading!
