Nobody puts Baby in the corner.

I have a wedding band on my finger and I honestly believe this is the only reason why I know that nobody puts Baby in the corner. Seriously if someone wants some advice from me about how to prepare for married life I have generally this one suggestion:
Find out why no one puts Baby in the corner.
Actually better still don’t even bother yourself with the why, just accept it as absolute truth that Baby does not get put in the corner for whatever reason. Also if you are able to it may be a good idea to practise laughing at the cleverness of the t-shirt slogan: I carried a water melon.
Once you have those two things under your belt you are ready to live a joyful married life.
For a long time I was angry that these nuggets of information were taking up valuable space in what I imagine to be a limited area in my brain. I can tell you all sorts of facts and observations from Terminator 2 and Robocop and that nobody puts Baby in the corner… Arrrrrg.
I’m thinking of getting a support group together for men who no longer remember the diameter of the Death Star or the awards of valour that Captain Kirk had earned but understand the concept of this is my dance space and this is your dance space.
I’m assuming all you married men know what I’m talking about and you guys who don’t know… you will… you will.
Just so you all know the alternative ‘alt description’ for that image involved a joke at Aquaman’s expense.
