Casino Royale

I’m a semi big James Bond fan and when I read some time ago that for this film Mr Brosnan’s services were not going to be required and that Daniel Craig would be the new Bond I thought back to the last two Bond films and thought yeah why not those films were stinkers (better than your average fare being Bond films but average at best).
But then information started leaking out about how it was going to be and I visited some anti Craig sites and began to become quite negative about the new film.
Whilst all this was going on I began reading the Fleming novel because I knew nothing of the story and I hadn’t read an Ian Fleming novel before.
Finally I saw Casino Royale and I’ve got to say if you are a Bond fan having trouble with the film just wait it out till the end. The end is the pay off! I wound up reflecting on the whole movie after it finished and decided that I liked it. Didn’t like the theme song absolutely loved the score.
I’m now more looking forward to the next Craig bond film which I believe is already being put together - even if this film fails to meet your expectations it will at least set you up for a great sequel that I’m sure is coming!

What’s your favourite Bond film? I think mine is still Goldeneye - though this new one is now up there!

Hey… was stumbling through blogs and saw your recent post about Casino Royale and just had to comment. I totally agree with what you said! I didn’t really like the Brosnan movies so thought it would be nice to have a change, though i wasn’t super keen when they announced Daniel Craig as the next Bond. However, in recent weeks my view has totally changed. In fact i wrote a blog posting on it as well earlier! haha. To answer your questions, anything with Sean Connery was my favorite Bond movie haha… I thought he was excellent so hmmm ultimately i choose From Russia with Love i think… I absolutely can’t wait to see the new one and this blog hasn’t helped but made me more excited about the new one!

I am not a huge Bond fan, I think I have only seen two in the theater, but the reviews of this one have been very good, and we keep meaning to see it but one thing or the other has come up.
We are going to the movies today, but to see Tenacious D: Pick of Destiny. We want to laugh

I saw bond last night and i thought it was very good , nice to see how the whole bond thing started , so you can understand why he is a bit twisted and dosent trust anyone.bit darker than the rest and not as camp.
