Dungeons & Dragons concept art

October 13th, 2008

Jye over at Twitter is trying to get some ground swell for a Dungeons & Dragons Australian online community and asked if I was interested at all.  To be honest I’ve always been interested in D&D but have only ever played once or twice in high school.  I certainly get the appeal of it all.

So whilst I probably won’t be getting involved in any actual games I am really interested in the art that is associated with D&D and will therefore be adding artwork as my contribution to the community:

Interesting concept. I think that it would benefit from a little research into medieval armor and weapons. Try the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NYC) website:

I think one of the ‘problems’ with D&D art is weaponry and armor that is way too baroque to ever be useful.
