Proof reading Poison’s Nothin’ But A Good Time

I was talking to someone the other day on Twitter about whether the Poison song’s title was Nothing or Nuthin But A Good Time… yes this is what I fill my day with. Both of us were wrong, or maybe Poison themselves were wrong:

The Proof-read version of Nothin’ But A Good Time - I’ve assumed that any spelling mistakes are the fault of the lyrics site that I found these… my tracked changes are in italics and in red - sorry colour blind people - let me know if it’s too hard to read.

Lord, then put me away (God isn’t really a part of the judicial system, well he shouldn’t be, of course there are the underlying principles but…)

erm..what do you exactly mean by proofreading..I know my head’s probably a bit full with a cold..but is it like making it ‘proper English’ or something?

Nuthin’ but a good time..sounds faaar to much akin to ‘Nothin’ but a g thang’

proofreading is indeed editing something to ensure that it’s written correctly (something that doesn’t get done around here often).

Now ‘Nothin’ but a g thang’ I discovered this whilst searching for the lyrics, I don’t have broadband at the moment so I will check it out tomorrow.

Job searching has taken a better turn as I have a couple of interviews towards the end of the week and start of next one, so fingers crossed

Hmmmm I don’t think I can comment on your use of proof reading lyrics as time wastage.

My hubby has spent all his spare time the last two weeks re-producing the Metallica St Anger album in one of his music editing programs.

My time has been used in discussion about Dr Who. If the Doctors temperature is much lower than that of a human would he not burn certain body parts if he did in fact have intercourse with Rose during her time as his companion.

I was at the barber today getting a long overdue cut (there was a LOT of hair on the ground) and he asked what I’d been doing with my time off and I couldn’t think of anything - mind you I don’t remember my mobile number either so that isn’t saying much

I’m anti the whole Doctor being romatically involved with his companions, I know I’m the only one, I don’t care
