The Lost Boys 2

Over at IESB.net they are reporting that the sequel to one of the coolest films from the 80s is being made as a straight to DVD film.
The Lost Boys. Ok the title kind of gave that away. Don’t smart mouth me. Fine don’t read any more of my witty conversation regarding this movie.
Apparently Warner Brothers wants to take advantage of their catalogue and produce a bunch of straight to DVD sequels. Which is great as long as it is done with respect and care because people really do love these films and I’d hate to just see a bunch of crappy, poorly acted, poorly made movies cashing in only on the names.
Now with that being said maybe my worst expectations are going to come true for this particular one. The plot apparently revolves around surfing vampires.

I mean it just screams classy. I mean throughout the years there have been a couple of interesting ideas come up for a sequel. I think my favourite was focusing on female vampires and calling it The Lost Girls. It has a nice ring to it.
Another idea was going to be focusing on the Frog brothers after they go on to create a vampire hunting organisation. This has some legs in it too. The only problem is whether or not Corey Feldman would be too busy to do the film… mmmmmmm lets check… ummmm no not a problem (that’s not nice I dig Corey Feldman ever since Meatballs 4 he can do no wrong in my eyes).
Hopefully they’ll take a leaf out of the Starship Troopers camp - I didn’t mind that sequel.
If Jack Bauer tells you to get out of the room because you don’t want to see what he’s about to do, you better stay your ass in that room because you’re about to witness the most shockingly awesome thing you’ve ever seen.
