Ghostbusters 3 - OMG, OMG, OMG

September 4th, 2008

Well, y’know, two sharp young writers are purported to be writing the sequel, the third movie now. If I could interest Seth [Rogen] and Judd [Apatow] to be part of it, that would be an absolute dream.

That’s a quote from Dan Aykroyd when he was asked about GB3.

Ok as Slashfilm suggest there is no way that Aykroyd doesn’t know what’s going on with GB3, I’m fairly certain he and Ramis retain the rights or something like that.  So it is safe to say that there are two writers actually working on the script, the fact that he mentions Rogen and Apatow by name makes me want to do a happy little fanboy dance.

Ok I’m doing it right now.

But only a little, I’ll save the full dance when I read that it is confirmed that they are working on Ghostbusters 3: The Next Generation.

If my fancy iPhone had a direct line to Dan, Dan would get no sleep as I demanded action on the Ghostbusters 3 movie. Oh and I’d want an Ectomobile but I’m not sure he has any to give.

LOL ‘Who ya gonna call’ never actually appears as a line in the film, it’s only in the song - does appear in the second one though.

You probably didn’t need to know that.

There has been more news over on slashfilm about the identities, I also remembered Harold Ramis was in Knocked Up so he knows the Apatow/Rogen guys…

I feel more fanboy twitching coming…
