It’s kind of bizarre to watch, especially the Mother and they absolutely nail the end bit when Bart lands on the car etc.

If you look closely you’ll see Bart is about 21 in that shot (stunt guy i assume hehe) he just gets much taller, and much more shape

I also like the related video, Star Trek vs The Simpsons. Funny how well the two themes mix.

Yeah… this is from the episode that ricky gervais wrote/starred in… for some reason they shot the intro in live action. from memory it’s episode 16×07??

I’ve considered that a work of absolute genius since I saw it. It was perfectly done.
In a slightly related note, when the Simpsons movie came out in the States, there was a nation-wide contest to find THE Springfield. The Springfield of Vermont (my state) won. Mostly because there actually is a nearby nuclear power plant. That and they found a local who was fat and balding to do the entry video…

Oh yeah I read about that competition, didn’t know where they wound up choosing. Do you think the fat balding guy helped them across the line because I know where they can find some of those

I thought it was a promo for a new simpsons series on Sky 1 I think. It is rather clever.
