Abe Sapien done in markers

Continuing on with my Hellboy theme using my new markers I followed this up with Abe Sapien. Abe is a weird guy to draw because looking at the reference material no two artists do him the same way. So it’s hard to get a good idea of what he looks like at different angles.
I used an Abe figurine as a reference point (Hellboy I got down so no need for a reference), I actually did in my opinion a better one but his gills were all wrong but the drawing looked really good, this one isn’t cartoon’y enough for my liking. I’ll probably do another given some time, this time much simpler.
Next drawing is of one of my favourite BPRD characters: Johann Krauss.

I hope you’ll like the Johann one which is coming up as it is probably my favourite (I just love the character - in the comics). I’m about to draw Liz which will be more of a challenge.

Yeah that’s true, I thought that myself after finishing it - he probably should look a little less menacing and cranky.
