Stupid wait until January: 24 season 7 trailer plus commentary

OK I know that the 24 tv movie is coming but do I really have to wait until January!?
Oh yeah, the stupid writer’s strike, I know it was problem for everyone but are we really still feeling its effects or are studios using it as a bit of a scapegoat.
This actually looks pretty good, I like the whole Tony coming back as Jack’s nemesis bit. It’s a villain we can relate to although I wonder if we’re looking at a double agent Tony is good still thing happening.
I do know something though, someone is going to get his ass kicked, Bauer style.

Oh cool look its Jack Bauer, ok no its Keifer Sutherland, he’s possibly in the Law and Order offices, is this going to be another cross over for Munch? I thought the reason they make 24 is for the money? I mean ok that’s really cynical but Keifer is being too genuine about it and he’s making ME wait for the next season.
I wonder how many times he had to record that with different countries. I’m pretty certain I haven’t seen an Australian one. I’m glad they’re pulling out everything for this season, it probably wouldn’t have sounded as good had he said ‘we dragged our arse in for this season and threw some crap up on the screen, whatever, you’ll watch‘.
Ok cool now we’re in Jack Bauer territory, just in case you forgot, he says his name very clearly, hey is that senator guy going to call him a dumbass? I wouldn’t if I was him.
“Did you torture that dude?”
“Yeah probably, I mean I torture a lot of people it’s hard to keep track.”
C.T.U. is gone?
What? Did they run out of moles to man the phones?
Did you think about getting Norton’s Firewall as a backup?
Jack Bauer is on his own? Except for the lady in the room with him?

Ahhhh so the FBI are hiring the moles now that C.T.U. is gone. I wonder if it’s that guilty looking guy?
A day unlike any he’s had before? People shooting at him, cars blowing up? I’m thinking this isn’t THAT new to Jack.
“Hey Jack, you want to torture some dude?”
“Sure!”
Tony has rented out Die Hard 2 whilst recovering. Do you think Jack is going to have to go out on the airstrip with torches?
Jack’s talking to Tony on the phone, in person, I hope he also gets to chat to him via messenger or ICQ too.

Yeah they do it with Battlestar Galactica too it is really crap sometimes.

Mmmmm it still seems to be there, just playing silly buggers with you I guess.
Chloe and Bill are there, very briefly in a quick shot. Apparently her husband (can’t think of his name - chap couldn’t take a drill to the arm last season) is back too.

Oh, it’s working again now… and I found Chloe. Bill’s looking old though.

Looks good. I went off it a bit over the last couple of seasons. PSLS will be counting down the wait with the rest of you for this one!

I must admit my attention did waver in the secons half of season six, it appears that they may have decided to ignore that it happened and start fresh with that new telemovie.
Good choice me thinks.
