There are two reasons for my absence
July 15th, 2008
I had a bit of a run of post writing over the past couple of weeks which came to halt on the weekend for two very good reasons. The first reason is that I’ve been commissioned to do some character design work which I cannot at this stage talk about but it’s very cool, very exciting and I’m really enjoying the work as it is in the eventual direction that I want to go in.
It’s weird because unlike commissions I’ve done for people wanting established characters we’ve got to design the character up from ground. OK I’m not going to go on any further because I’ll give details up and I can’t (did I mention the word cool?).
The second reason I can talk about and no doubt will at length for some time as it simply is the smartest and funniest show I’ve seen in a long time: Arrested Development.
Tonight we finished the last episode (sniffle) and I am so blown by this show (you left out ‘away’… it sounds wrong when you leave it off). Tracey and I are still laughing about Gob’s chicken dance that in Mexico is considered quite offensive and in the Sargent household it’s a show stopper.
I will devote some time to this in the future but I wanted to let you all know quickly why I may not answer comments very quickly and post a little infrequently (I’ll try though).
