Look what two and a half hours in a line can get you

Yes I was one of those people today out there in the Queen Street Mall lined up to get my geeky little hands on an iPhone. I wasn’t going to be. I was going to wait a month or so and causally wander in and pick myself up one. Then this morning I sat and thought about the plan that was being recommended as the best Australia has to offer and realised that I really wanted one!
After discussions with Tracey and after lunch I thought I’d pop in and they’d happily serve me and away I’d walk with one of the new phones.
Right that didn’t quite happen.
It was mad, the line was still really long, I went to the end and began to wonder how many phones that they would actually have. Little bits of information was overheard, ‘there are no more 16gig ones’ ’sold out of the pre-paid ones’ and finally after two and a half hours later I was walking out with one of the last iPhones.
I don’t care about the cynics, the phone is cool, I no longer have to carry both my phone and iPod seperately. It has a GPS, connects to my wireless network and has a great screen.
Very happy geek.

You know how much I envy you Mr. We still don’t know how the pricing plans are going to be in India, and even no signs of an official launch date.
And most importantly, am dying to lay my hands on the Apps.
