wow… that’s a show I haven’t thought about in a while. I used to watch that all the time. Nice job.

you’re on a drawing roll! Nice u-robot. @ Iron man, I like his left arm better than his left, but he looks cool!

Greatest American Hero: what’s his superpower?

Arjans last blog post..Les Passantes (a French chanson)

Jeff - yeah I’ve had the show stuck in my head for the last month or so, I haven’t seen it myself for probably fifteen years or so (probably longer… actually definitely longer).

He was of the era of Knight Rider and the A Team for me.

I’ll probably do a couple more ink drawings of him just to get it out of my system.

Arjan - yeah I’ve managed to sit down for a little while and draw for a change, which is nice but then something else suffers for it (reading in this case, I’m taking forever on the book I’m currently reading).

The Greatest American Hero was just a normal guy who was accidently (it’s supposed) given an alien suit that gives him all your general super powers, the only problem being that he doesn’t have the instructions so he muddles his way through the whole superhero thing.

It was actually an entertaining watch during the 80s.

I loved that show as a child. I remember watching him flailing his way through the sky with a terrified look on his face and wondering why he didn’t just use his super-speed and run everywhere if flying was so bad. See? Kids know things should work :-p

Ian, I remember, and please let me know if you also remember this episode but he got the manual from the aliens in one of the episodes and he used his the instructions to shrink himself, he then resumed his natural size but had left the book on the ground in tiny form.

I only vaguely remember that, I suppose I could go check wikipedia.

I love it when you post your drawings. I love the curly blond hair. ‘Greatest American Hero’, ‘A-Team’, ‘Knight Rider’. I used to watch them all!! One of my other favorites used to be ‘Hunter’. Did you get that “down under”?

That was a great show! I loved when Ralph was trying to fly and couldn’t and the kid told him to take three running steps because “That’s what Superman does.”

    And it worked.

Robert Culp as Agent Maxwell was way over the top, and then there was the lovely Connie Sellecca…

Stephen J Cannell, where are you now?

Cheers Joanna - I never watched Hunter but we certainly got it here in Australia. I think my Mum might have watched it but I can’t remember, I’m a bit shocked at how old they are!

Cap - that scene has actually stuck with me too, that was in the pilot episode and I think they used it in the ads here.

Apparently Cannell is writing novels :)
