Excellent.
An excellent example of treating the fanbase of a franchise with respect and consideration.
If you don’t like Sex and the City you’re not going to like this film, if you liked Sex and the City then you’ll love the movie because they did it right.
Everyone was here and putting in a great performance, the soundtrack very cleverly uses the familiar theme from the series and the stuff actually happens. It is long though, not that I’m complaining but it covers a lot of ground.
I think you’re a little too cynical if you don’t enjoy the film, but that’s just my opinion.
It’s just really good that the film is well done. So far I’m two for three with Iron Man and Sex and the City falling into the more than good pile and of course Indy falling into the disappointment pile (for me that is). Hulk is next week and we’ve got Batman, Hellboy, Get Smart and X-Files (oh boy am I excited over X-Files now).

I didn’t like it and I liked the show. I am sorry, but I felt like it was all just done the wrong way. It is sort of why I skipped the review and let a girl write it, because I think I was in the minority that didn’t like the movie.

That’s odd Reviewer because often I’ll agree with your reviews, though I must admit of late I’ve probably disagreed more and more (Indy and Speed Racer).
I just really enjoyed it, had a great time and was with an appreciative audience.

Well it’s nice to know that someone else enjoyed the film and recognised the soundtrack that I think was very well put together, I doubt I’d buy it but it fit in well with the movie. Thanks for leaving a comment.

Watched the movie this weekend and loved it. Have not been quite a religious fan of the TV series though, but from the few episodes that I have seen, I think the movie was more than satisfactory. Loved Samantha as usual, but was disappointed by the compromising climax. Show spoiler ▼

Patrick - yeah it is certainly one of those movies. It is also interesting in that it is also the fans that are polarized - people who loved the series won’t necessarily love the film despite what I initially expected!
