How awesome is this season of movies going to be?
Well I covered off Hellboy the other day (and found an excuse to wear the Right Hand of Doom) as one of the films I’m pretty excited about this season and I have new trailers for two others that have me hyped up.
I think this season is shaping up to the best in ages, I had thought that pushing Star Trek back was going to leave a hole but didn’t account for the sheer number of genre related films.
Incredible Hulk, I wrote a while ago about how I could pretty much take or leave this film. Well forget it, I can’t wait! I’m really looking forward to this (take the day off work excited? well let’s not get crazy here, well not completely crazy I might have some time up my sleeve…) and the reason for this ramping up of enthusiasm? The following trailer that shows Hulk smashing trucks together and performing his sonic clap move thingy, it just looks like fun and we know that Stark will appear which is awesome in itself.

But wait, there’s more.
The last couple of seasons of X-Files is considered by many to be fairly weak and it eroded the fanbase as people longed to see Mulder and Scully investigate cool freaky stuff. X-Files fans come back! All is forgiven, this movie looks like it is going to kick some serious ass.
Just breathe.
Oh and a little film called Indiana Jones comes out next week, excited much?

Yeah…. 12 movies in 15 weeks make my list (and a 13th comes later). As of tonight, I’m behind by 2 flicks - though I’m honestly not that upset about last week.
This is one of the most exciting movie summers in recent memory. In fact, the last summer that I remember being this excited about movies was the summer of 1988 (oddly enough, another Batman summer).

Jeff - to be honest I can’t remember such a brilliant season either, the first Batman film season maybe (which was actually 89 I think at least here in Australia) because we had Indiana Jones and Last Crusade, Batman, Ghostbusters 2, Karate Kid 3, Lethal Weapon 2, Back to the Future 2, Licence to Kill, Star Trek 5, When Harry Met Sally, Uncle Buck… holy crap that was a huge year and I haven’t even listed them all. I think this is worthy of a post!

@ X-files: have to watch this one. At the very very least I’m curious. I want to believe X-files is still going strong

Arjan - Hulk is looking more and more exciting, but I’m really hyped for X-Files! I think I’ll be dropping some money off at the cinema because a lot of these need to be seen at the cinema.
