A funny thing happened on the way to reading three books in three weeks…

That funny thing was God of War II and it seriously drained all of my free time.  I had read what an awesome game it was but I really wasn’t prepared for how awesome.

So it may put the reading challenge back a little.  Not too bad but I’m not confident on getting the third book done by the end of next weekend.  Especially if I accidentally start on God of War one.

I’m also developing some stuff with our good friend Memphis over at Crypt Hunter that I expect to show its face come May 1st.

Discovered last night that I haven’t actually watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire so will have to rectify that some time this week (missed the start on TV)!!  But I am catching up on Torchwood and the show gets cooler every episode.

Overheard in our room today:

Tracey: Should I get a primer or a sunscreen?
Me: Unless that’s got Optimus in front of it I have no idea what you’re talking about.

I wonder why she married me somedays.

  1. because she loves geeks?

We’ve been making a family night of watching the HP movies the past few weeks. Dunno what we’re going to do next sat night now, will have to find something good on dvd I guess, as long as it’s not transformers……… that movie has been on 3 times this weekend in my house and I need a break from Optimus for a little while!

    Bettina’s last blog post..It’s a dog’s life????.

  2. Where are you on Torchwood? There’s some crazy stuff in the last half of the second season. Very well done. Some stuff I could do without, but overall, that’s a heck of an impressive show.

Jeff’s last blog post..What I’m going to do with my summer

  3. I find torchwood a bit hit and miss, one good episode and then one bad one.

Dan’s last blog post..These boots are made for walking

  4. Bettina - Arrrgggg - I’m a purist when it comes to Transformers so it’s the Generation One cartoon series all the way!

  5. ****SPOILERS****

For those who are concerned about Torchwood season two don’t read further!

Jeff: We’re just up to the episode where Martha leaves and Owen is dead, but not and now he’s the doctor again.

Thought it was a really interesting storyline to have him as the walking undead. We’re enjoying these later episodes.

  6. Dan - we felt that way over the first season and for the second I think one out of three episodes are average.

  7. I’m up to the Torchwood episode where Owen’s just been revived. I’ve also got mixed feelings on this season but I still want to finish it.

  8. Ian - I’m told that the final episodes are awesome so they’ve got me more than hooked at this stage - I actually really like the Owen character and what they’ve done to him is really interesting. If this was Stargate Atlantis he would have been fixed by the end of the episode :)
