X-Files 2 comes out this year too?
Um OK I knew this was being made but didn’t realise that it would be coming out so soon. I mean come on I’m pretty bloody happy that it is but is this year not already being kind enough already!?
Iron Man, Batman, Hulk, Hellboy… and now X-Files 2 which has one of my favourite tag lines for a film ever: Believe again.
Now first I had my sulk about Iron Man and new people getting on board later in the game, well the X-Files is another one of those for me. I was quite into the paranormal and stuff and then when I first read about a new series called the X-Files I was mad excited about it. Then there was a brilliant first season of this amazing show and of course people got into it but then they all bloody become experts in the paranormal. Arrrrrg. End of sulk.
How awesome is that poster? I’m a sucker for a cool poster and of course for a well done trailer - it’s blurry and may take a while to load but check out the leaked X-Files 2 trailer:
Ok damn they removed it - it looked cool. You have to take my word for it. Here’s a pic of our favourite FBI Agents from the upcoming film instead, as soon as they officially release the trailer I’ll post it:
Please don’t tell me there are more awesome films coming this year! At least Star Trek isn’t until next year!!

I hope it’s based aroud a stand alone story rather than continuing the ridiculous convoluted “mythology”. I’m sure it will be though, which is why I’ll probably watch it seven years from now when there is nothing better on TV.
Carter ruined the X files with that confusing mythology stuff. I think I’ve ranted about it before here, and I apologise for doing it again. But the X files was such a damn good show I still feel bitter about it being spoiled.

I’m REALLY looking forward to this too. Been getting Mulder and Scully withdrawal. Wonder how they’ll explain them being back in the FBI though - last we saw, they were on the run.
Wonder too if Agent Doggett will get a cameo. I liked him.

Bettina - I know! I’ve been missing me some Scully and Mulder myself - even before the X-Files finished its run originally LOL. Actually I’ve got the entire series on DVD just got to find the time to get reacquainted them!!
Arjan I remembered another film coming out this year but now as I write this I’ve gone completely blank on it grrrrr - obviously though there is the next Harry Potter film too that I always seem to miss at the cinema but do enjoy.
Rol - I have to say that I don’t hate Agent Doggett myself, I know a lot of fans resented him for replacing Mulder but I think he did what he could with the role and I wouldn’t be too upset to see a well done cameo. I’ve got no idea how they re-establish themselves as FBI agents either - I can’t work out a satisfying way. But from all the promotional stuff I’ve seen it certainly appears to be the case.
John - The X-Files marketing material has always been very well handled which probably has added to the success of the show and the mythology around it, I really enjoyed the previous film and its poster and trailer too.
Arjan - I did just remember - we have Indiana Jones and Get Smart coming too! Egad! and the Punisher in December and another Bond film!!
