Warning: this post may be somewhat graphic, maybe a little whingy.
For those of you not predisposed to recognising the image above it is a bottle of health or heart potion found in games such as the Zelda series.
You see last night I spent most of the evening sitting in the most uncomfortable position trying to stop blood flowing from my nose. I went to bed, put my head on the pillow and felt my nose running, then in the same instant felt the taste in my throat. Blood literally pouring out of my nose. Fortunately I realised immediately because I used to get them on and off as a teenager.
But never as severe as this, I managed to save our white sheets in the most part but my pyjama top copped it. So Tracey is using her iPhone to show me the right technique to stop the flow and I’m freaking out slightly because I’ve not experienced it like this before.
After sitting up for an hour and feeling like it had settled down (also being forced out of the lounge room by some people trying to sell me cactus juice on the telly) I went back to bed and made the mistake of rolling to my side. Again with the pinching and the bad telly, by this stage I’d lost a bit of blood and swallowed a bit and was generally feeling pretty shaky.
An hour later and one weird wedding show down and I spent the rest of the night sitting upright in bed trying to go anywhere near my nose, desperately tired.
This morning I was understandably unwell.
But at same time whilst this is a normal random occurrence (thank you Dr. Google) it is highlighting my general poor condition. I’m eating a lot better but I still need to go and form a relationship with a doctor, get my diabetes shit sorted, lose some weight, drop the stress and get more sleep.
Or alternatively find some magic health potion…
