So what do you wanna know?

closeOriginally posted on 1 year 8 months 17 days. This blog is no longer being updated - you should come check out my new blog: Too Short To Be A Storm Trooper

Once again I find myself going to the blog post well, only to find it dry without even a deadite to speak of.

I think I’m a little spoilt over at The Coalition of Awesomeness and the Midnight Movie Club as those blogs have themes in which to work around, but out here all I’ve got is me and my stupid brain which hasn’t been playing ball of late.  Of course there are the flying monkeys in the QYDJ lab but those little bastards only want to talk about oily versus dry peanut butter.  That conversation gets old quickly let me tell you!

This is the reason why there's no point responding to those email notifications...

Once I exhausted all avenues of discourse regarding peanut butter I turned to ol faithful idea machine Google.  Unfortunately even though there were blog posts that boasted “101 blog post ideas to get you thinking” the majority (all that I could bring myself to look at) featured helpful ideas such as:

  • Write something funny
  • Give advice
  • Give your opinion on something
  • Write about something you know…

And then they got worse, I’m thinking of developing the universal law of writing good blog posts according to these sites: “write about something that people want to read”.  Bravo.  Great advice.  Where’s my cheque?

So I thought I might open it up to you guys and see if there was anything in particular you were interested in reading about?  I’ve done this before and people have left really good ideas and then I’ve completely lost track of them and I feel bad about that because they were really great ideas… yeah I know I should really go back and find those posts.  Of course if you write your suggestion again maybe the power of repetition will get through to me.

On another note I’m catching up on some commission pieces that are over due, got a bunch of superhero illustrations coming :)

So ask away and I’ll try to respond to at least 34% of them in post format.

    • LOL I was so let down by those lists!!!

btw if you enable images in the email notification that you’ll get from this reply you can see the original flying monkeys -- but people can only see them if they leave a comment :)

  1. What are the three coolest gadgets you own or want to own? 3 coolest websites? Top three inventions that need to be created? Movie rumor mill… what’s driving you nuts (good or bad)?

Of course I say all that, and I’ve only posted 4 times this entire month, on my own blog so obviously even I don’t listen to my own ideas too often.

    • The 34% was generated by the flying monkeys that work in the Quit Your Day Job labs.

I think I have an answer for your question too, look for it in a couple of days or so… (the odds are hopefully with you)

    • I have done watching Avatar but I’m almost afraid to write about it because I loved it sooo much that words can’t really express how good the show is.

  2. Love the flying monkeys, they are awesome.

I really enjoy reading your reviews of movies / films / TV shows because it gives me an idea what to watch next.

Hubby is going through a phase of watching Brilliant but Canceled shows. Maybe you could do a top 5 of shows that you like that never got past season 1? or maybe draw the ending for us. I love your artwork too :D

  3. How have your parents and other relatives, teachers, employers and other people of influence responded to your love of comics? Did you ever get grief for reading “rubbish” when people find out you love comics, either as an adult or a child?

The librarian in me wants to know if you experienced snobbery around your choice of favoured reading material?
