Got a lot going on again, a lot of good stuff so I just didn’t get the chance to write up the post that I wanted today despite having the day off.

I will however touch upon a couple of small items.

Jack’s back baby!

First episode of 24 season eight helped me remember that I love 24 despite some decidedly soggy seasons.  Jack’s in New York this season and I love that promo image, very clever.

Also there was the introduction of a new Jack Man-Bag that I will find and own as my Jack Man-Bag Mark I is getting a little worn through.

I did also miss out on the season 7 Jack Pack which I will rectify as soon as I have a couple of shiny shiny dollars to rub together.

Tron!

We watched Tron over on the Midnight Movie Club which you should go check out because that movie rocks and Jeff Caddicks who is a good friend to QYDJ is a guest on the podcast!  It’s a good refresher because the sequel is coming out at the end of the year.

Rockband

Tracey and I have been playing a stupid amount of Rockband and Singstar on the PS3, specifically we have focused on the Beatles Rockband game because a)huge Beatles fans and b) awesome fun.  Of course we have been branching out and playing the other versions including Queen which does not include Flash (curses).

I was looking around YouTube for a bit and discovered what is supposed to be the hardest song on Guitar Hero (the guys in this are hilarious but fair warning there is a small amount of swearing):

Why you got to say shut up to your dog? Classic.

Oh and finally just because the bloody song isn’t on Singstar Queen – behold the greatness of Queen – Flash.

*squee* I LOVE THAT PROMO! (I will watch it in the next couple of days, may post about it) I think season 4 may be my fave? Or 5…. I can't remember. I don't think I even watched the latest season, it just lost its spark. BUT your enthusiasm is contagious! :)

Damn. I keep despising 24 and tht counting down clock.. And yet I end up getting sucked in.

BTW, I bought Guitar Hero Metallica – can play it just like Rock Band with all 4 players- drums, mic et al. But rt now just have one guitar. In search of a bassist :P

I am not sure if multi-player is supported across platforms. Mine is not on PS3, on the Wii. Any idea if it works?

I'll finally give in and start downloading 24 from the start..
Oh and next to that I'll be busy playing Modern Warfare 2 :) , played it at a friend yesterday and got hooked.
I tried threads on fire a couple of times with my wireless keyboard, but I get spasms in my fingers I guess.

I have not got into the show of 24 but friends of mine keep telling me how awesome it is. That is all I need another show to be addicted to. As far as rock band goes. The Beatles rock!! My husband and I sat down one night and beat it and we continue to play it for kicks.

I think season five was the strongest though I loved season 4 – the first half of season six was really good and season 7 was OK. So far, two episodes in I'm actually enjoying this a lot.

I've got Guitar Hero on the PS2 but just haven't been moved to upgrade it to the PS3 as of yet.

Won't go across platforms but you should be able to share your details with other Wii players.

  7. leesargent says:

Excellent, although I'm happy to suggest that you can skip forward to season 4 after watching 1.

I picked up Modern Warfare 1 to get a feel for the game- yet to have played it though.

24: Day 8 starts on Sky 1 here next Sunday – I've just got a new DVR from my cable provider so I'll be recording it. Every Katee Sackhoff-filled minute of it :)

    Bwahaa-if you'll forgive me-hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!
