I'm actually a little ashamed that I immediately thought of eBay worth rather than the worth of the books themselves. And yeah eBay has really killed this kind of treasure hunting.

What a great find as a kid though!! I'd like to come by that myself now :)

I remember when I was a kid, I found a good chunk of Claremont / Byrne X-Men comics in a second hand shop. They were worth a lot more in comic shops, even then. Sadly, eBay has made this kind of discovery a lot harder to come by.

Holy crap! Nice finds! I remember reading those King Classics. They were, at the risk of stating the blindingly obvious, classics. I'd love to find them again.

I think it's a St Vinnies out at Strathpine – I'm usually the same I always seem to go places with cool finds but have limited cash on me (markets especially).

Sweeeet Buffy finds! What op-shop was this in? I've never really had much luck with op-shops, mostly cause the only time I go is when I only have $30 and I end up buying a bunch of clothes for sewing. One time I did find an accordian that I was extremely tempted to go back and buy later but…I'm never going to learn to play the accordian. I just wanted it to sit in my room :P
