Well my top five movie list is done.
At the start I promised some Shatner paperback love going out to anyone who could pick my top five and whilst no one picked the full five at least it means that you guys don’t know me so well that I can’t keep you guessing a little.
So rather than let the Shatner love go to waste I decided to go with those who got the closest which were:
Each with 3 correct answers (the exact same answers). It makes sense because all three are long time guests here at Quit Your Day Job so they should have some idea!
Actually Highlander was chosen by a few people and I have to shamefully admit to never watching the first Highlander film, I got it a couple of weeks ago and have been meaning to sit and watch it… I can’t believe I watched Catwoman before it!
Anyway Arkonbey was first so he’ll get first pick of the three books on offer which are:
- Star Trek Memories
- Man O’ War
I know I said three books but I have two copies of Man O’ War, don’t ask me why I have two copies of it because I actually have three (I’ve got a hard cover copy as well). So Arkonbey if you could email me your postal address and your preference I shall get that in the mail for you. Then depending on which book Arkonbey picks, Arjan will go next and Dan will get what’s left.
If you missed out this time please don’t fret as I have a lot of paperbacks that I’m going to be giving away over the coming months because I just have too many!!! (three copies of Man O’ War?!?!?).
Thank you everyone for taking part!!

Hurrah!
I'm just reading Shatner's autobiography at the moment actually ('is this it” or something like that).
As I mentioned on twitter I watched your 6th favorite film last night. You have strange taste Lee.
I'm 2nding Dan's Hurrah!
I also saw the sneak of V yesterday, it indeed looks worthwhile!
Oooo! Star Trek Memories!
But, sir, I am aghast. No, I am flabbergasted that you have not seen the first Highlander film! You are in for a treat.
@Arjan: I'm curious about V (yes, I'm old enough to have seen the original on TV. Fun, but cheesy). You should give us a mini-review of the sneak.
I have to second arkonbey's flabbergasting. That is at least as serious an oversight as the Army of Darkness-sized hole in my watched list.
And it must be said that I'm a bit disappointed that Spaceship didn't make the top five… so sad… ;P
you wouldn't happen to have a torrentlink for the old V?
Because I would like to watch those too.
I'll try to get a mini-preview up, I had some trouble with the internets this morning so I won't be able to get it up before tonight.
I can't believe you went back and watched the end!!
I think V might just be the scifi series this season to catch despite the mid season break they are going to have
Cool I'll email you and get your postal address and get you some Shatner love in the mail!!
BTW I'm old enough to have watched the original run of V… I'm not sure what you're saying
The V preview can be seen at http://abc.go.com/shows/v/
ARG! Don't mention Spaceship!!!!!
I will watch Highlander this weekend and patch up that hole in my geek cred!!!
But you HAVE to fix your lack of Army of Darkness joy
I know where the preview can be seen and I think I've even seen a longer preview than the trailer version last sunday..it was more like the first 8 minutes or so of 1.01. ..but I was looking for the eighties version too
LOL I didn't even see the 'old' line. The DVDs are out for at least the original miniseries so I imagine cousin Larry has it somewhere.
