• KITT is cool, but I donno how it wud stand out as a car which has an exterior character..

On the other hand, the latest Batmobile is awesome.

Anything from the Star Wars universe is gonna be awesome,

Final two suggestions: nebuchadnezzar and enterprise

but will they fit in a garage...may be this time u can do a world's most awesome warehouse.. :P
.-= Sujoy´s last blog ..First look at Dev Benegal’s ‘Road Movie’ =-.
  • I'd love to see KITT although it would be boring to draw I spose. And the van from the A team. And I love Jeff's suggestion of a door from Monsters Inc. And not sure if its really up your alley or not, but how about something from the Mad Max films? Or the nuclear sub from On the Beach LOL, imagine a nuclear sub in the garage ?????

I'm getting a lot of national pride pressure for a Mad Max car but ultimately the voting will be up to you guys anyway :) KITT can look cool though, I'd just have to reverse park him.
  • MC
Stuntman Mike's Car from Death Proof? A Bond Car? The Mystery Machine? Herbie the Love Bug? The Mach 5?
  • Lee
The Mystery Machine!!! That's great - I hope that gets voted in... oh but I'd have to park it on the side...
  • The Mach 5!! I second the Mach 5.
  • What about the Metalicar from Supernatural? Although I suppose that might be as boring to draw as kit. Perhaps you could do it with the boot open and the anti demon symbols on the inside of the boot and all their gear showing.
  • Lee
Yeah that's the only problem, if it's just a car albeit a very cool car it will be harder to convey the point - but if the junkyard or giant garage comes off...
  • Dan
What about that landspeeder thing from firefly. Or serenity itself (although a little big maybe)
.-= Dan´s last blog ..Big Screen Meme =-.
  • Lee
I've never drawn anything from Serenity I don't think...

    That needs to be sorted.

Oh by the way I've got a title for that Indiana Jones Podcast.

(see what I did there, I left you with hope, whilst not locking anything in)
  • I second the landspeeder and raise you a Landmaster from Damnation Alley. A toughie might be "The Classic" from All Of Sam Rami's Films. I also think it's your duty as an Aussie to draw The V8 Interceptor...

Jeff's comment on the 'wide sheet of paper' got me thinking. How's about you get an 11 x 17 sheet (or whatever the Australian version of 'tabloid' is), divide it into a large grid, then draw identical single garages. That would make a poster and a half, wouldn't it? You could have some sort of contest based off of it.

The Starfury is cool, but doesn't really fit, so now you have to do a spacefighter space-dock version ;)
    .-= Arkonbey´s last blog ..Other People's Art =-.
  • Just want to lend some support for that idea. It is, dare I say it, awesome.

Btw... if he can fit a Star Trek shuttle, he can fit a Starfury. :)
    .-= Jeff´s last blog ..Where I’ve been =-.
  • Lee
I really like the idea actually and would be interested to talk contests - but probably not for a while. The original garage illustration is on that sized paper - A3 I was going to frame it but don't have the right size.

LOL now I'm thinking of drawing a giant junk yard with all of these vehicles!
  • gonna sleep a night on this one.
    Is cool the new awesome?
  • Lee
    Awesome is as awesome does
  • The first to come to mind is a landspeeder from Star Wars. I also think the Tron Light Bike would be cool. Back to the Star Wars well again for a speeder bike and a podracer.

Hmm... how about that lizard that Obi-Wan rode in Revenge of the Sith? I'm blanking on the name and too lazy to look it up.

And hey... no love for the Batman Begins batmobile?

You should have a door or two from Monster's Inc. leaning against a wall, too. And maybe a StarGate or the Guardian of Forever.

Maybe a StarFury from Babylon 5.

And of course, Silver... Lone Ranger's horse.

You're gonna need a WIDE sheet of paper...
    .-= Jeff´s last blog ..Where I’ve been =-.
  • Lee
Dude you just smacked with some fantastic ideas, I may have to instigate a one franchise rule though :)
  • Kent McKelvie
    The Landspeeder from Star Wars
  • Lee
Which is a great suggestion - especially because I know I have the right coloured markers :P
