Where I’m currently at, plus chocosaurus

Wow, this is really hard.

I’m still not well, having confirmed everything with the doctor and being rushed back into quarantine today’s supposed to be my second last day of symptoms and I’m supposed to be on the mend.

I’m pretty sure I’ve stalled on the road to recovery and this cough is still bugging me.  I also can’t do much of anything for any amount of time (including blog writing and drawing apparently) without having to collapse for double the amount of time.  Even now I’m having trouble after drawing for a few minutes and some couch time will be in order as soon as I finish this.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m still wandering the house waiting for plague infested zombies to try and break in but am otherwise all OK and things will go back to normal hopefully this week coming.  I am developing a fascination though with Japanese deformed characters as illustrated in this Chocosaurus drawing, but I’m not sure I can attribute it to the swine flu:

  • Hope you get well soon! I almost feel guilty reading the blog now knowing you'll be spending double the time coughing out who knows what. Be sure to whipe your sceen though.

    At my work the official policy is to take it serious. There is extra soap, extra tissues, stuff to clean your keyboard (oh nów they think it's necessary..) and notes everywhere to please not cough in each other's faces. But on the workfloor everybody's just generally joking about it as soon as somebody sneaks in a cough....oh noes Mexican flue! (I think we're the only country to call it that :P)

    LOL that's all good bud, I've been trying to push myself a little today anyway because I'm back at work tomorrow and despite being so sick I doubt they'll have taken it easy on me for the week I was away.

    We're supposed to refer to the swine flu as N1H1 (or something like that anyway)

    I can't believe I went into work on the Friday and stayed all day! (last friday that is - at the start). I hope I didn't infect anyone.

  • you are kidding! I went to work and told them I had Whooping Cough and they were all 'meh' I have had worse...

    I am loving the name 'hogwog' you totally need to trademark that.

    Yeah I was really surprised, I got a phone call from my boss confirming that I had it and that they were very concerned on how best to proceed and that they may be scrubbing my desk down.

    I wish I could take the credit on hogwog but I can't :(

    I heard that you are better off getting the old pig lurgy now to build up immunity before the damn thing mutates.

    The people at work were very concerned when I found out - the doctor didn't even test he just said yeah that's what you've got and it's too late for tamiflu so just get rest and liquids and you're contagious for a couple more days.

    They are decontaminating my desk or something apparently so god knows what I'll have when I get back, my desk will look like that house in ET.

    I hear that we're in for another surge in hogwog cases so I guess I'm happy to have it out of the way. I also didn't die so that was a bit of a bonus which I'm pretty thankful for!
