OK time for a bit of a round up because I’ve got a bunch of stuff to share and I think it might just be easier to get it all in one post.

First off my latest chibi offering, once again going to the DC well…

Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman - markers Lee Sargent

I originally meant to draw the entire Justice League but once I had these three drawn I really thought that it was the complete picture after all!  The pencils are over on the Posterous blog.

Second thing on the agenda, the Blues Brothers artist trading cards are now available on my Etsy store.

blues brothers artist trading cards - Lee Sargent 2009

These are the originals so this is a one off, I just need to start supplementing the art supplies a little and so I’ll be putting more and more cards up on my store – also if anyone wants a particular set or character, let me know and I’ll sort you out (with cheaper postage – there’s a story behind why I have to use express post, it’s to do with PayPal grrrr).

If you know of anyone who might be interested or if you just want to help me out please let everyone know about the store!

Finally Arkonbey who is a regular here at Quit Your Day Job got inspired by my coffee and capes series, specifically Cappuccino and after asking permission and showing me the final result first (the man is a class act, he really is) he has posted his take on Cappuccino over on his site and I demand you all go over and check it out because it is a great take on the piece!

Now you need to do kawai /chibi versions of some of the Goodies and Baddies (still waiting on the Goodies and Baddies comic)

What I find nice about you using the Sharpie as a reference for size is that most people on the web don’t try to find something standard for a reference. Many folks use coins, but what good is that when we can see images from other countries?

Of course, nobody ever seems to have a ruler handy…

It never occurred to me to draw some of the Goodies and Baddies into the chibi style – I will rectify ASAP. The thing though with those characters is that I was never going to do a comic with them, half of them don’t even have costumes, only heads! They were designed (mostly) for the card series for people to imagine their own ideas around their backgrounds and powers etc.

Of course I’ve grown to love most of them anyway and some will be appearing in a strip very soon. In the meantime you should check out my posterous site (or the next post!)

I think you’ve really REALLY made some awesome progress (see how I put in ‘awesome ‘). I already thought your drawings were cool, but you’re getting better and better.
