I am wondering about your choice of an acoustic guitar. Certainly an acoustic guitar has power (just look at Adrian Legg). However, given the Metal-ish SFX destroying the robot, I'd have expected a Gibson Flying V or a Burnside Crossbow. Hmmm?

Obligatory comic critique: this could have been even more awesome with two pages. A larger pic of the robot threatening to really give a sense of danger (and a chance to do a big robot pic), the destruction by righteous sounds a bit more prominent, then a little bit of dénouement (perhaps with a witty catchphrase from The Guitar Man). As it is its awesomeness feels a bit crammed into a single page.

You're so greedy for awesomeness, you're like an awesomeness sponge.

The challenge was to confine the piece to one sheet using the text "give me my guitar, I'm going to waste this guy with some righteous sounds..." as the basis and what should be framed around it.

There were panels involving the actual handing of the guitar that were dropped (which was a real shame because I had it pretty clear in my head - almost like an Evil Dead chainsaw sequence ending in groovy).

So the focus was always going to be that block of text and besides then I had to compress the awesomeness so it is awesomeness concentrate :)

i was thinking of throwing this out to the blogging artist world actually and asking others to produce one sheets based solely upon that text and their own interpretation (tell me you'd do it and I'll approach others!)

It is rather good.

Your retweeting is noted, appreciated and I have several half fish-man half bigfoot offspring carving your likeness in stone in my back yard, it's not a pretty sight (the big footed fish kids not the carving, they are as talented as they are repulsive and I've always regarded you amongst the more handsome of the bloggers that I read.)

A sequel?! One must be careful not to look directly at the awesomeness lest one's head explode in an orgy of happiness. We have our screens to dilute the effects a bit. Even so, I think I may need a salve. I hope you are wearing protective gear of some sort.

I had to burn the pens I used to draw this, they had gone quite mad being exposed that long to the radioactive joy and awesomeness of being involved in the project.

I really should have put up one of those cut out patterns for those shields you use to look at the sun, it's a lesson for next time, of course I knew that most of you had high awesomeness levels located in the awesomonic cluster located in your brain, without which the orgy and the explosion would indeed take place.

Personally I gave up maths skills and used that space to grow my awesomonic cluster larger.

Truly awesome it is..

I just wish that the guitar wasn't acoustic..shudnt be nitpicking such an awesome sketch though..loved the font, loved the pick, and the blast of awesomeness..

It's a zen thing with the guitar, he's tapping into the primordial field of awesomeness and an electric guitar would just add static to the awesomeness.

But despite your misgivings on the acoustic guitar you have still sipped from the cup of awesomeness - your insides thank you for it.
