The golden avenger armour or mark 2 is possibly my favourite which is really weird as I’m sure I’m the only one! With this I really wanted to give a retro feel to the illustration. I wanted it to fit in the era that the armour was appearing in unlike last week’s which I did a little grittier. The background is inspired by a panel in an early Tales of Suspense comic and there are shades of that portrait of President Kennedy.
I am looking forward to getting the red pen out for next week’s armour!

Coloring thought: On the darker yellow shading. If you left a gap of about the width of the black outline, so that there was a bit of yellow between the shadow and the outline, it might make it look shinier.

I came very close to not using the darker shades at all because I wanted to go for the same single tones that Tales of Suspense used to have.
