The Burbs holds up particularly well, we watched that last year some time and it really is still funny.

I tried to get Mel to watch Summer School, but she wouldn’t have a bar of it. No appreciation of class movies some people. Trying to find a copy of “Biggles- Joins the 80s” too online, but with little luck. Dale bought a copy of it on DVD. I am poor student now- again- so have no money for the little things.

Saw “The ‘Burbs” six months ago. That movie is still funny.

HR Puff n Stuff used to scare me. Still does in a lot of ways. It is that freaky flute. Why the hell does it talk?

You don’t need to find ‘The stuff’ on DVD – all copies should be thrown into the lava pools of mount scaremeinster.

Summer School rocks, I’m going to try and convince Tracey to watch it.

I don’t want to encourage more people to see ‘that movie’. The producers owe me a bunch of full nights of sleep, i blame them for not being taller, my growing body didn’t get its growing time at night because I was lying there chanting “can’t sleep, orange blob creature with one eye will eat me”.

I don’t think I was ever really terrified of the Universal Pictures movies at all, possibly why i like them so much!

And The Stuff is one of those movies I’ve been looking for on DVD for a while.

I didn’t realize it until just now, but I have to do a blog entry on this film myself. Maybe this week.

Childhood movie that terrified me (though it’s not silly): Dracula. I snuck out into the hallway after bed while my parents were watching it and saw one of the brides (or whatever they were) getting staked. Freaked. Me. Out. I saw vampires in every shadow for a full decade. I’m only now able to watch vampire movies again. And only if they’re not dead serious. That “Bram Stokers Dracula” that came out with Gary Oldman was the first and only serious vampire movie I’ve watched in the last 30 years years, and it still freaks me out.
