The Mariner – Waterworld illustration

I’m getting into the mood for this weekend’s podcast where we’ll be talking up a storm about the film Waterworld, is it really as bad as everyone remembers or is it a harshly treated gem? I’ve already gotten Matt’s material for the show and let me say that it’s a good thing Corey Feldman wasn’t in that film or we might have seen a Falling Down moment.

I know, I'm gutted about the podkitten name actually. This week I'm only talking Waterworld and won't be doing an extra show but next week I'm talking Robocop and will be doing a supplement podcast on the very low budget follow up direct to DVD movies.

Waterworld was Mad Max 2 on water BUT I didn't think it was too bad.

I think the comparisons to the Mad Max franchise are fair enough.

Initially I thought he looked sad in your illustration, but now I think that 'pensive' may be a more accurate reflection of his expression.

Very often I don't plan the expression that any of them wear, this was one of those illustrations that it wasn't defined so it's cool you can draw your own conclusions.
