• Kinda looks like Laura Croft with a hat. Good drawing though. Do you do contract work?
  • scotchneat
Very fetching! (The hat, though the girl is as well).

It gives you a jaunty air.
    .-= scotchneat´s last blog ..Seek Simone =-.
  • Lee
JAUNTY is exactly the word I used to describe the hat I bought yesterday!!! That's so weird. Are you spying on me? Who did you get to? TELL ME!!! - sorry got all '24'ish there for a second :)
  • Andrew
Lovely hat - Although I have no idea what Firefly is.

Ever thought that Adventure Girl's weapon of choice ought to be grenades?

I think there is room for a character who, as a signature move, pushes them into the mouths of their enemies.
  • Lee
Man you have to check Firefly out - I think you would really like it.

Hold that thought on the grenades business - I'll put together a character who does exactly that - I think you are right there is plenty of room.
  • LMAO I didn't know they were called "Jayne" hats...got a purple one floating about the cave here somewhere...
Love the pic and Arkonbey's suggestions, they sound perfect for her :)

LOL - it has to be that colour to be a Jayne hat - http://tinyurl.com/lffbgk
  • Ian
Nice hat, although I'm wondering if you just wanted to get your face on the Internet again :-p

Also, nice drawing (as always). Why do you need a new name? What's wrong with Adventure Girl? There aren't enough comics for the under 14's these days so she'd fit in just fine with a name like that.

Since Dan started adding unrelated notes, did you get the photo I emailed you ealier this week?
  • Lee
I'm sick of people not recognizing me on the street, damn anonymity!

I'm fairly certain there already is an Adventure Girl floating around out there, I didn't even bother to google that actually, I just needed something to tag her in my files.

I thought I replied to that email, I'm assuming we're talking about that sweet Ghost Rider toy, knowing my email track record I bet I hit reply then wandered off without actually replying. It was the one I was thinking of and you should let it out of the plastic prison.
  • Ian
But I like the the plastic prison [stamps foot hissy-fit-style].
  • Dan
Great picture, and great character. She looks like she belongs in a tank girl comic. Or maybe the clone wars cartoon

On an unrelated note did you get my email about the blue beetle picture?
  • Lee
I must admit I had thoughts of Tank Girl at one stage, I think it was the hat.

Yes I did get your email, yes I am rubbish at replying at them, I will forward on the pics when I get home. Are you sure you don't want some new colour ones?
  • For a second I thought you'd typed "I had thoughts of Tank Girl on stage". Tank Girl on Broadway? That just might be awesome.
.-= arkonbey´s last blog ..my plan is underway =-.
  • Lee
Man a stage production of Tank Girl would smash Broadway!! So what do you think of this Spider-Man production?
  • Wow. I'm only seven hours away from Broadway and I'm so behind the times. There's a Spider-Man production?
.-= arkonbey´s last blog ..Strangers in a Strange Land =-.
  • Lee
There most certainly is and I think you can thank Bono: http://splashpage.mtv.com/tag/spider-man-turn-o...
  • I don't know what her hero name is, but her character name should be Meridian Skye Willoughby. Daughter of the renowned British Explorer/Adventurer Granville Willoughby who went missing under mysterious circumstances (From inside his locked study with no sign of forced entry) five years earlier.

Maybe that's too 19th century (especially if you change the Father's disappearance to having his entire private railcar removed from the tracks in India and appearing empty in the middle of Trafalgar Square)

How about Belinda "Garbo" Garibaldi-Sykes. Orphan. Her parents died in a freak accident when a jetliner was struck by may have been an alien spacecraft. The Infant Belinda was on board the aircraft at the time and was found, days later and none the worse for wear *insert location of your choice*.

I don't plan on having kids, but if I had a daughter, I'd name her "Meridian", btw.
    [rq=3216,0,blog][/rq]my plan is underway
  • Lee
Wow, just wow, either of those ideas would work although I think she has to be contemporary - I'd almost want her to come from a very mediocre family and that's what propels her forward.

    Meridian is a cool name.
  • nice hat. It still feels strange seeing people on the other side of the world dressing up for autumn/winter when it's summertime overhere.
The girl looks like a modern female version of Robin Hood :)
  • Lee
LOL is was weird reading about everyone freezing and the snow during December (when it gets real hot).
  • Dude, that's an awesome comic book character. I can almost hear the attitude in her voice. Very cool.
  • Lee
Cheers! I was much happier with the outcome than I imagined when I was drawing her just to get the clothing down.
