I really liked some of the illustration mash-ups that I did before the host change and subsequent loss of all my posts from the blog so I thought I might pick out my favourites and repost them.

What if Boba Fett was in JawsWhat if Iron Man was in Jurassic Park
What if Hellboy was in Raiders of the Lost Ark
What if Carrie was the Scarlett Witch

I’ve got something big on the horizon for my artist trading cards but I’ll post more about that this weekend!

I wasn’t a big fan of that illustration because I did it really quickly and got the perspective all wrong. Look out for some more Robocop illustrations in the coming months!

I like ‘What if Boba Fett was in Jaws’ that made me laugh. But the Carrie one disturbed me cause I thought it was quite pretty… but it is Carrie… so feeling confused-a-mondo here :P

Well the thing is with Carrie is that she was quite pretty really, she was just in this godawful place at home and school. I think we all knew people like that in school and that’s what makes the book particularly powerful and still one of Stephen King’s absolute best novels.

There was a post attached to that drawing originally where I talked about how the story of Carrie could very easily been an X-Men storyline, Carrie is a mutant and her powers had deadly effects at the end of the story. A story that is repeated over and over in the X-Men history.

Apparently I have to relate everything back to comics ;)
